Did you know that the trail segment from Stop and Shop to Look Park is the oldest municipally built rail trail in southern New England?
One of the most compelling things about the developing rail trail network here in the Pioneer Valley is the breadth and scope of what is coming.
Zooming up in altitude a bit, within 100 miles radius of Northampton there are over 200 such projects underway and most are right where people live, work and play.
This is the densest network being developed in the U.S. What makes the Northampton area so interesting is that when the network is fully built out, the vast majority of the residents here will live within a few minutes of an access point to this network.
Even though bikes are seen each day around here, with this developing network, more and more bikes will be seen.
